Morgan's Modeling Session

Not too long ago, we ended up signing Morgan up with a modeling agency here in the area. I tell ya, you really have to be careful and check these agents out before signing up with one. We feel comfortable with the agent that we've choosen to represent her.

Anyhow, Morgan had a "Teen Power Shoot" not too long ago. The "Power Shoot" included an eight hour day of changing into four different outfits that they provided, having a makeup artist to do her makeup, a hair stylist and then being photographed by four professional photographers. Whew! What a day it was! Morgan was so excited and nervous all at the same time.

The agency really didn't want the parents to stick around because of the possibility of the teenagers getting nervous while being photographed. Sorry! I wasn't about to just leave my child in the company of ALL strangers just yet. I really like the lady that we are working with at the agency, but still I needed to check things out first. Sooooo, I stuck around for a few hours. Believe it or not, Morgan was perfectly fine with it. In fact, when I told her that I felt comfortable in leaving her alone with the other 15 or so teenagers, she asked me to stay. Imagine that? From a teenager??? lol!

Anyhow, it was an awesome experience for her! She was able to experience how real models have to rush with having to choose an outfit, then running to the next station to get her makeup done or freshened up, then rushing to the next station to get her hair fixed a different way. It was a bit chaotic to say the least. It was tiring me out just watching all of these girls. Okay, one thing that I didn't care for AT ALL and I know that in the real life of modeling this is how it is....but all the photographers were males, right? Well, you had teenagers who would literally strip down to their bra and underwear and change into their next outfit. Morgan was the total odd ball here. She would run alllllllll the way down the long hall to get to the ladies' restroom to change into her next outfit. This is something that I did not care for at all! But then again, I am sure that it's like this in the real world of modeling, right? Hmmmmmmm.....I later asked Morgan if she would be able to do that. She said, "Noooooooooooooooooooooo!" Hmmmm....will she actually get a choice if she ever goes into real modeling?

Okay, here's a few pictures of Morgan that were taken that day.

Okay, for the most part, I liked all of them except for the last two pictures. She was made to look a bit older and not like a teenager, but I guess that's to be expected.

I hope that everyone is having a great week so far. It's almost friiiiiiiiiiiiiiday!!!!!!

That Morgan would be a model that is!
She is a beautiful girl. The pictures all came out amazing.
I really like the last two photos in the black dress. She does look a little bit older but they are so good.

May all her modeling dreams come true.

Have a wonderful and blessed Easter Daphine.

And hey, I was just wondering if I could tinker with them and edit them a bit.
They're beautiful the way they are, but I never have any new raw pictures to work with.
So just let me know. :) I won't be publishing them or anything. It's just for some fun.

Wow, what beautiful pictures and what a beautiful daughter! I bet Morgan was in heaven at the photo shoot. From the looks of the photos, it looks like she had a great time.

I don't blame you for staying with her at the photo shoot, that would have been me too!

Morgan is so beautiful!! It's good that she could get a little taste of the modeling world to see if it is something she would like to pursue.

I didn't enter the modeling world till I was 33. I don't know if I could have handled the pressures had I started in my teens. I was a pretty private person...never would I have changed clothes in front of anyone. I'm used to it now...having done some runway for Toronto's Fashion Week and some smaller events. But I've never been in an awkward spot where I had to change in front of men. Maybe I've just been lucky...who knows.

It's good that you got to stay with her. Photographers don't like parents to stick around...but the choice is yours.

The modeling world loves to take young girls and make them look ten years older. Morgan looks great young or old.

I too would be right there with my child. -- Great parenting! :)

My favorites are the close ups of her in all pink. She is so beautiful. And I agree, the last two are almost too much...I mean, she looks like a knock-out, but that's probably not the look a mom wants to see right now. And unfortunately in teh biz, it probably is the norm to just strip down in the open. But I'm with you...not so comfortable with that. They at least need a sheet or something to walk behind to change. Well, keep us posted on how it all goes. She certainly has the look to be a model, now we just have to see if this is God's plan for her future...or at least part of it.

Gorgeous! Wow...she has some gorgeous headshots there. Did she totally enjoy all the pampering? My Model does. It is actually nice for them to get that much attention once in a while...my model is the middle child. LOL

How beautiful!! I loved all of them, but my faves were the first and last ones!

I think she has been able to experience what many girls would like to!! Does she still have alot of interest to do it?

Tell her she did a great job!!! Just gorgeous!

She is gorgeous!

My favorite was the one on the yellow/green wall with the red sweater and jeans.

Yah, the getting down to bra and panties in front of all those guys would bother me too, but I'm sure it's all part and parcel of the modleing scene.

Morgan is a beautiful girl! And, I applaud your watchful parenting... that Morgan would ask you to stay is a testimony to your sweet mother-daughter relationship.

My favorite shots... the ones of her in the scarf. They're fresh and natural and girlish!

I'm glad to be on this beautiful journey in Christ with you.

How fun. Do you have to pay this lady? I was under the impression if they make money off your child then they get a cut. People tell me I should put Lauren in modeling? Your daughter is really pretty you have ever right to be careful around men you don't know.

Hey girl~
I've sure missed visiting with you...it's been too long!

Oh, Daphine, you have one gorgeous girl on your hands! She is incredibly photogenic! I won't be at all surprised one day to see her gracing the pages of Cosmo or something like it! There is no way I could ever choose a favorite...they're all amazing!

I wish Morgan the absolute very best as she chases her dreams!

Have a blessed Easter, sweet friend!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter today! Kenyon, Kaeden, and I were in Dallas for the weekend - I thought about contacting you while I was there - but we were there for such a short time and I had a class on Friday. Next time though - I'd love to meet you in person!

OH NO! She looks SO grown up! And very beatiful! It's hard to watch our babies grow up, isn't it? I can't wait to see how this works out for her! She is a lovely girl!

Those pictures are awesome! She is so pretty! Do you mind sharing with me what agency you used? My daughter would like to try modeling too, but I didn't even know where to start. I see you are in Dallas (?), and I'm in Fort Worth, so if it's not too far I'd love to try her out there. I wanted somewhere that I too, would feel comfortable with the people. I also like how they had her dressed. Very age appropriate!

Be Blessed!
