It's been a bit of a strange, sad and depressing week to say the least. The passing of two major stars in one day has really gotten me down a bit.
I did want to share pictures of our weekend getaway with our extended family members, though. We had an absolutely great time. Our only complaint was that it went by REALLY fast. The cabin that we stayed in was very nice....clean and FAR AWAY from the city to say the least. It was really relaxing, though. We were surrounded by a lot of trees with a beautiful 300 acre, private lake to swim in. We really enjoyed taking walks on several different paths and just being away from the busyness of every day life.
I know that I have gotten carried away with posting so many pictures, but it was HARD to just pick out a handful, okay? The girls that you will see in the pictures are Morgan and Jae's cousins. You will also see several pictures of Dirk's dad and stepmom....my great inlaws!

I'm so glad you got a chance to get away. With both of our boys working this summer, and Bill mowing lawns on top of his regular job, I kind of doubt we will be able to go anywhere for a vacation this year.
Your girls are beautiful. I know you've mentioned this before, but I couldn't find the info...what is that age difference between them?

I have been glued to the TV and it is so sad that both of them died on the same day. They were both huge stars.

I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful pictures from your trip. It really looks a beautiful and tranquil place. I love the woods very much. We often go to a place called Center Parcs which is in the woods but there are hundreds of other people there too! It must have been wonderful to share special times there alone with your family and your pictures prove it.

Daphine, I know what you mean. I was very bummed about their passing. I wasn't so sad about MJ at first, just in shock. Then last night I actually cried while watching a Primetime show about him.
