I Have a Serious Confession To Make....

You may not ever think of me the same way after reading my confession about what I did today. And since many of you have told me on more than one occasion what a sweet, thoughtful, sincere, caring, good mother and good wife I am...it makes it even HARDER to write this.

I had to tell Dirk first since it involved another man! I just really can't believe that I did something so unthinkable. I am hoping by writing it out tonight that many of you will pray for me and help me as I seek for forgiveness.

Clearing my throat..........

Okay, here goes.....

Friends, after being married for almost 19 years now, I have never said these words to another man (other than my dad, Dirk's dad, and my Grandpa)!

Auto Zone Guy: "Yes, Mrs. Reeves, we have that part in stock."

Me: "Great! Can you tell me what time y'all close tonight?"

Auto Zone Guy: "Sure, we close at 11pm."

Me: "Great! We'll be by to pick it up before you close."

Auto Zone: "We'll be here."

Me: "Okay, thanks! I LOVE YOU, BABE"

Auto Zone Guy: "Huh?!?"

Me: "Oh, I thought you were my HUSBAND!!"

Auto Zone Guy : lol "Oh, okay. Well, I love you too, babe."

I CAN NOT believe these words came out of my mouth to this, this, this, this stranger!

See, you think of me differently, huh?

I know, I am soooooooooooooo ashamed of myself.

I do have good news though! Dirk has forgiven me!!! I promised him that I would NEVER do it again.

I thought you all would get a kick out of this!! We did!

Hope everyone is doing well and is swine-flu free!

Have a great weekend!

Girl, that made me laugh out loud! You are so funny. I have said that on the phone before, just forgetting that I was not talking to my husband, and I've had friends do it to me too. We all get "forgetful" at times. ha. Life moves too fast and sometimes our brains aren't as quick. :)

Have a good weekend friend!

Dirk is a good man to forgive you. :)))

Oh that is too funny. My husband was just talking about how he has to catch himself because he finds himself wanting to say that before he hangs up the phone at his work. Cracks me up.
So glad you were forgiven by Dirk. LOL

Oh my.....I was dying laughing when I read this! That is hilarious!! I have almost done that before too, just out of habit! You're so funny! I'm glad you're doing well and haven't caught this yucky flu....we're holding onto hope and prayers that it doesn't make its way into our house either.

You had me worried there for a minute as I started reading this. I then had to laugh and am glad that you two are able to laugh about it too! Too funny!

Oh Daphine! That is just too funny! I think we've all done something like that. One time Bryan answered our home phone "CT, Bryan, can I help you?". I had to remind him that he was at home and not at work. I'm glad that Dirk forgave you!

Thank God your hubby is so forgiving, right? LOL

I've almost done that before, and I've had to catch myself.I don't know if that's good or bad? Is it just "out of habit" that it comes out of our mouths without thinking?

LOL!!!!!!!!!! My boss said she did the same thing to someone other than her husband before. It played out similar to your situation. LOL!!!

You are too funny :)

I don't think badly of you. It's just the LOVE pouring out. It's reminds me of teaching, the kids accidentally call me mom.

I've done things like that, so you are in good company! LOL! What a scream!!! Loved his answer back. Just as long as you didn't make a date with him (aside from the date to pick up the part), you're cool!

XO,

Sheila :-)

P.S. You need to go check out what I did with burlap. YOU WON'T BELIEVE it, Daphine!

Oh that is too funny!!!! Yes, we are all forgetful! I have answered the office phone before with the name of the company I used to work for. Sometimes our mouths are just running faster than our brains....well maybe actually a lot of times ;)

Hi Daphine
That's so funny. I bet you were so embarrased when you called later to pick up the part!
I have a friend whose husband would drop her off at work every morning and she would lean over and kiss him goodbye as she got out of the car. One particular morning she got a lift with another friend and her husband and as she got out of the car she leaned over and kissed her friends husband right in front of her friend. She was embarassed for days!
Hope you are having a great week.

Such a funny story : ) Sometimes I will say I love you when I am hanging up with the families I work with : ) I am just so used to saying it to my parents and to Gary. Wierd : )

Kaish had swine flu I think! The Dr actually told me NOT to bring him in! Whatever he had it was terrible and I am so glad it is gone!

Hey Daphine! I haven't checked in here forever. I missed you.

That is a funny story! Once my coworker was calling in sick and she left a message on our machine and she ended it with "See you all later. Love you." I ribbed her on that one for months :)
