No, It's a Lion, Not Mickey Mouse!

Jae recently had a Disney themed singing program at her school. Parents were asked to make their child's costume. Jae was a lion from "The Lion King" and so we had to make her ears and make sure that she was wearing light tan/brown clothing. We used cardboard and felt to make the ears. We used the form that the teacher sent home right? We actually thought they looked really good!

When we got to school the night of the program, I was somewhat embarrassed how big her ears were. lol! Jae never noticed the difference at all! But, let me tell you .....all the other parents apparently did not use the size that the teacher sent home and made teeny tiny ears for their child. Jae's ears were HUGE!!!! Seriously! When they were up on stage, the main thing that I kept focusing on was how we could definitely (along with the other parents, I am sure) see Jae and her ears sticking out above all the kids.

I am glad that Jae never noticed though. lol!

See for yourself!

Great Job Mom!! It doesn't matter how big those ears were. She looks like she's having a great time - that's all that matters.

I had to laugh at this. As a mama, I can understand.

However, her ears pales in comparrison to that big sweet smile. :)

You did a great job on the ears. If you get a chance, you should take Jae to the Lion King live production. We went to see it last spring, and it was awesome.

The ears don't matter. She looked cute! As long as she had a good time, that's really all that matters!
I remember showing up to school in a homemade costume for halloween, and everyone else had store bought ones. But I still had a great time!

Plus it was the teacher's fault for sending home a template that big!

The BIGGEST ears are for the BIGGEST star of the show. Jae looks amazing and so cute with all her friends. They all look so happy and are obviously having lots of fun. Those school productions are so special. They are memories to treasure.
Thanks for sharing.

Those were large ears but if any child could pull it off, Jae could. As a child, I probably would have been thinking, "Haha, my ears are bigger than yours!"

Too cute!
