Christmas Decorations at Last!!!

Hey friends!

Well, it's come a time where I am REALLY bombarded with the Christmas holiday. I am way behind with posting. However, I have made an effort to read your blogs daily as I don't want to miss anything and I also miss ya when I don't get to connect with you in some way. lol!

We have a little more Christmas shopping to do and we'll be done. There's just wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much going on. If I can be honest, I am really not enjoying this holiday season as much as I have in the past. A LOT of it has to do with my personality. I feel like things are totally not organized and completed in a way that I expected in the beginning. I am usually done with my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving comes. I just finished all the decorating that I am going to do this year. Compared to others that I have talked to, I should be more thankful for what I have completed as far as decorating goes.

As I promised, I would like to share some pictures of our decorations with you. There's more that I wanted to take outside and around the house....time has just not allowed me to do so.

Let me also add that until the Christmas holiday is over, I will be posting very little. I will be visiting your blogs as often as time allows, though.

Alrighty...here goes:

Okay, while posting these pictures, I noticed two flaws. My tree didn't have a tree skirt at the time and there's a package of maxi pads in one of the barstools. lol! Whatever!!!!

See what Dirk has to live with?!?!?!?

Daphine,

Everything looks just lovely! I would have never seen anything on the barstool if you had not pointed it out...and then I busted out laughing!

Hugs to you!

LOL about the maxi pads. I didn't even notice it! I think we scrutinize our pictures moreso than other people. By the way, what kind of camera is that again? I know you've mentioned it before in another post, but I'm just too lazy to look for it!

God bless you my friend...and no worries about not being here often! I totally understand! I'm home w/ the kids all day, so I purposely go online!!

HUGS!

Oh Daphine it's all so beautiful! I love your tree and didn't notice no skirt til you said something, then I had to go back and look. Ha! As if I didn't believe you. LOL!

I love your tree and the ornaments. I'm beginning my posts on my decorations this Friday and will do a little each day. I'm with you, it's been waaaayy busy and I've been having a hard time keeping up too. Don't stress over the blogging. Just enjoy the Lord and your family. Then share it all with us afterwards! :)

Rich Christmas Blessings to you my friend.

Everything looks fantastic! You don't have a thing to complain about. You have done a wonderful job, maxi pads and all. LOL! Daphine, don't worry or be anxious over shopping and Christmas decorations...that's not what Christmas is for. I know it's hard for you, but try to relax and enjoy the many blessings around you. Hopefully tomorrow night we'll be able to do some of that relaxing. Cheers and blessings!

Thanks Daphine! I'm going to look into that. I'm trying to get ideas for a new camera. I've been admiring so many photos since blogging!! My camera can not take any good pictures of the Christmas tree..lol.

Daphine,

Omgosh girl! Your living room is so cozy. I absolutely adore the garland on your stair banister. Your tree is beautiful! I didn't even notice the pads until you mentioned it. You are too funny!

It looks amazing, Daphine!

I totally didn't notice the maxi-pads or the missing tree skirt till you mentioned them! LOL!

Have a great week, Darlin'!

Daphine,

I just read your comment...
It's a show where contestants are taken away from their families for 3 months to learn exercise and proper diet. Of course it's a game so every week someone gets voted off. The "Biggest Loser" at the end wins $250,000. It is a great show. I cry right along with these folks. The transformations are amazing. Anyhoo... it's ok! I am still your friend!

Your home is lovely and so warm.

Gosh I would have never noticed the missing skirt or the pads on the stool. LOL!

I hope you are well haven't heard from you in a while.

Blessings,
Jill

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! You really have done an outstanding job of bringing everything together! Looks so warm and inviting! I see you have only four stocking hung...where's the one for Gucci??? Surely, you aren't going to leave him out, are you??? Poor little thing!

Oh, the maxi pads on the bar stool are nothing...they're like an everyday decoration at our house! Poor Chris and Dirk don't stand a chance, do they?

By the way, what's this I hear about you not knowing anything about "The Biggest Loser"??? How can that be true? You really must tune in, Daphine...it's a show not to be missed! It's so neat to see where the contestants start from and how they end up. The transformations are shocking!

Hope you have a good rest of the week. I'll miss reading your posts, but I do understand. Once the girls get out of school on Friday, I'm sure I'll be cutting back, as well. We need some time together as a family. Hugs and blessings to ya!

Gorgeous! I love the soft, warm lighting in your home.

As one of three girls my dad went through what Dirk goes through. Somehow I doubt he minds it too much.

Icy roads... kids out of school... how cozy.

oh and Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without a box of maxi pads, LOL.

Your house and decorations are GORGEOUS!

The maxi pads thing cracked me up! LOL!

I am like you, if things aren't organized and how I want them, it makes me crazy. We don't buy gifts for the grown ups anymore, we stopped about 10 years ago. It has made the holidays SO much better. However, this year I did have a couple grown ups I just needed to get something for, and let me tell you, I didn't even enjoy shopping!

I hope you're having a good week! :)

Wow, those pictures are gorgeous!
I kept enlarging them to see them up close.
Wow, I need a camera like that.

I wish our house was as cohesive as yours. We have a hodgepodge of decorations.

Your decorations are awesome. I have caught myself after taking pictures. When I go to review them, I see something I don't like in the picture. :)

You're hilarious! I didn't even notice the "extras" but now I have to go back and check it out. It's not everyday you see a box of maxipads amongst Christmas decor. (which is very beautiful by the way!) You and I are much alike, that need for organization can be overwhelming. You did a fabulous job!

Great pics!! You have a beautiful home!

Daphine,

Your house looks beautiful. I looked for the maxi pad box, but couldn't find it.

I feel the same way about the hoildays. It has become a chore, rather than a joy. I am so disorganized this year. In the past, my Christmas cards and newsletter were done by Thanksgiving, and were mailed out by December 1st. I am still working on them this year.

Laura said...

Your house is gorgeous! I absolutely love the decorations. I would have never noticed the pads if you hadn't mentioned it! LOL

Totally did not notice either one of the "flaws" until you pointed them out...but absolutely hysterical once you did!! Your tree is GORGEOUS!

Wow, it is awesome. Those are great pictures considering it is so hard to take pictures of a lite Christmas tree whent he flash always wants to go off. You must have used manuel settings? I love your home it is beautiful.. I have been feeling stessed and tired this Christmas season. I hate that because that is not what it is about.

That is so funny! I didn't even notice!

Your decorations look beautiful - I love the white lights with the red - so pretty!

I feel the same way you do this holiday. Last year I finished all my shopping a month before Christmas - now I have a list of things I must buy this weekend.

Thanks for your comments and I am so sorry for your loss. Your life is an example that God comes through and you can have a beautiful family in the end! I will encourage my friend with your story. Thank you again.

Yeah, I would just much rather be safe than sorry. :)

Flaws? What flaws? I only see a beautiful home filled with warmth!! My husband could relate to yours...living in the house with 3 girls...really 4 if you count Thelma Lou (the dog)! It takes a special man to do that, you know! Have a great weekend!
