A Snippet of Our Christmas Decorations!

I must officially admit, like so many of you have already, that I am addicted to blogging! As you know from my last post, my laptop is broken and now I am having to blog from a not so comfy spot in the house. I know it sounds ridiculous! They did tell me that the laptop may have to be sent out for repairs which could take six WEEKS! Yikes!!! I am supposed to know for sure tomorrow.

The day after Thanksgiving, we started pulling out our Christmas decorations. I tell ya, I was a bit overwhelmed. To be quite honest, I am still feeling a bit overwhelmed just by looking at the shape my house is in right now. I don't do well with boxes sitting everywhere and things completely out of order.

I started decorating my kitchen bar. It's looks a little festive, but I am not completely happy with it just yet. I also started my mantle, but wasn't happy enough with it to even share at this point. Dirk was able to hang all the outside lights out on Saturday. He did a great job.

Here's a couple of photos of how it's coming. Once I get EVERTHING done, I will post more pictures. I just wanted to fit in with the rest of you who have already shared some of your decorations.

This is a picture of my bar. It still seems to be missing something! So, I am looking at it each day seeing what I can add to it. I couldn't even take a good picture of it. The photographer of the family had to be called in to do it for me. lol!

This is on our front porch. I did end up taking this picture as I couldn't get Morgan to go outside and take it for me. It was a bit cold out trying to take a silly picture! lol!
So, as you can see, I have at least started decorating!

Hi there! I've been missing you. I do hope your computer gets fixed quickly.

Your house looks great. I actually moved a bunch of stuff to a pile and I'm in denial that it's there. I'm not turning my head that way when I walk past. :)

Your bar looks beautiful! You could get some colored and/or gold and silver ball ornaments and nestle them in the garland for a little more bling. But, it looks great as is!

All I know to say is, "WOW!" So very pretty, Daphine! I love how you decorated your bar! Personally, I wouldn't change one thing...I love it as it is. Your porch is beautiful, as well! I'll be anxious to see the rest of it when you get done!

I spent most of the day yesterday finishing up the inside. I have to hang some garland from the upstairs railing and have Chris put wreaths on all our windows, so that should be about it. My house looked like a tornado hit! Drove me crazy!

Enjoy your day!!!

Our decorations are all up but we still have those boxes that I need to do something with. I hate clutter too and they are driving me mad.

Your front porch and bar look beautiful Daphine. I have not started any decorating yet. My decorations are still up in the loft in some dusty corner!
Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Daphine, I know exactly what you mean about the decorating being overwhelming, especially with Thanksgiving being late this year, there's kind of an urgency to "get it all up." Your breakfast bar looks super and the lights do to. Don't kill yourself over this--do less and enjoy it more is my motto!

Hi! Thanks for the sweet compliments on my pictures!

You have a fun blog! I know what you mean, blogging is addictive. Just when I think I have nothing to say, I come up with 10 new things. And I LOVE reading other people's blogs. I will check back with you often. :)

Love what you did with your bar. The outside looks great, too.
I am sitting here on my couch, typing on my laptop, I can not imagine what I would do without it. I would probably get a lot more done! That would be boring!

Your decorations are so beautiful. I love the red lights. Somehow the red makes me think of being a child at Christmas. They give me a warm, fuzzy sort of feeling!

I've seen you on so many blogs that I read. I just had to hop over here and say hello!

Your Christmas decorations are beautiful! In fact, I think you should come visit me and help me with MY decorations! ;o) I'm sadly lacking in that department. Also, decorations have been kept to a minimum this year as I am taking care of my injured hubby.

Blessings to you and your family...
